Poncho Sanchez works with students at RSA Every year, JazzFresno brings accomplished jazz artists from across the globe, to our local schools for workshops and concerts. These unique opportunities can have life changing impacts in the lives of students, and provide the spark of inspiration that's sometimes necessary to keep young adults in school and off the streets.

jjcJazzFresno believes in the power of music to change lives. With support from Focus Forward, and the Bonner Family Foundation  JazzFresno has developed a program that brings jazz music to the young adults at the Fresno County Juvenile Justice campus. For seven weeks, two percussion instructors visit the students on a weekly basis, and instruct and introduce them to the various percussion instruments used in Latin Jazz.  JazzFresno plans to expand this program and continue bringing music into the lives of disadvantaged and troubled youth.
