Perrin Ave. (Champlain & Perrin). *(This month's event will be held on the 2nd Tuesday.)

This month's presentation will feature Big Band Jazz of the 30s, 40s & 50s, with the Hal Magnie Big Band, directed by Bill Butts - a retired educator/trumpeter from Hanford. The original band was formed back in 1952 and most of Fresno's best jazz musicians have paid their dues playing in the group. All of the arrangements were penned by pianist Al Harkins, who was one of the original members. Tonight's presentation/lecture will be led by music educator/trombonist Les Nunes.

This evening promises to take you on a nostalgic roller coaster ride back to the glory days of Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Tommy Dorsey, Charlie Barnet, and others - featuring live musicians! This event promises to be a lively affair, so get your seats early!
