JazzFresno and the Fresno County Public Libraries host (free and open to the public) Jazz at the Library on Tuesday January 21st, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at the Woodward Park Regional County Library located at 944 E. Perrin Ave. (Champlain & Perrin).

Local jazz trumpeter/composer Joe Lewis will delve into the richness and simple beauty of some of the most popular American swing songs of the 1930s. He will provide historical background and showcase famous performances of these songs, as well as provide an overview of the cultural significance of the swing movement in America. The audience will be treated to a live performance of Joe's favorite swing songs of this era, with original arrangements made especially for this presentation.
