libertyThe City of Brotherly Love isn't just the birthplace of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution - it's also one of the great jazz cities of the world. In this Jazz @ the Library event, Philadelphia native and jazz pianist Vince DiCiccio will tell us more about Philly's rich jazz legacy, and some of the finest players from the city, both big stars and relative unknowns. The list of players who were born in, or lived in Philadelphia is impressive: John Coltrane, Jimmy Smith, Lee Morgan, Clifford Brown, Philly Joe Jones, Shirley Scott, Ray Bryant, Bobby Timmons, The Heath Brothers (Percy, Jimmy & Albert), Benny Golson, Hank Mobley,  Micheal Brecker, Joey DeFrancesco, and dozens more.
