Wednesday March 28th - "Jazz, Blues and Rock and Roll"

The San Joaquin Valley Town Hall Lecture Series presents guest lecturer Robert Greenberg, Wednesday March 28th, at 10:00am at the Saroyan Theatre. Mr. Greenberg is returning to Town Hall by popular demand, with a lecture titled "Jazz, Blues and Rock and Roll." Dr Greenberg has been called the "Elvis of music history and appreciation" and has recorded a 48-lecture course titled "How to Listen to and Understand Great Music." He is music historian-in-residence with San Francisco Performances and has performed, taught and lectured extensively across North America and Europe. Dr. Greenberg's presentation will illustrate how music can reveal the social, cultural and aesthetic traditions of different cultures and historical eras.
