The roster (below) reads like a “who’s who” of jazz in the Valley. Members include music faculty at FCC, CSU Fresno, and many other valley schools. All play professionally as well, and have performed with an impressive lineup of jazz and pop artists. The ensemble focuses on new and challenging music by today’s best jazz composers, including its own members. “As educators, we think it’s important that out students see us out there performing, doing the things we try to get them to do," says Director Mike Dana. "The Fresno area has a vibrant jazz scene, and we’re proud to be a part of that. And, it’s a treat just to be playing music with so many great musicians!”
