After studying jazz piano with Craig Von Berg, Cheyenne went on to earn
a B.A. in Ethnomusicology with a Jazz Studies focus from UCLA. He
studied with Tom Ranier, Harold Land, and Anthony Wilson to name a few
while at UCLA. Cheyenne has played with many groups in recent
years but some of his favorite projects have been working with the
group Dig in Fresno and his most recent band, Izzy Digs the Drums,
based out of Los Angeles. Now back in Fresno, he is looking
forward to participating in the jazz scene as well as teaching.
Cheyenne has been teaching for eight years and can give students a well
rounded musical background by exploring popular music in addition to a
strong foundation in jazz and classical piano.
