JazzFresno's Jazz @ Library program
|
|
Beginning this summer, JazzFresno presents a free year-round series of monthly jazz lectures and performances at area public libraries. These events are a great way for both students and adults to learn more about jazz styles, famous artists and recordings and much more. The events also feature live music by local jazz artists. Beginning in July, JazzFresno will hold a monthly lecture at the Woodward Park Regional Library on the third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM. That same program then will be repeated at another local library (on a rotating basis) each month.
Upcoming Lectures:
September 16th - The History of the Guitar In Jazz
October 14th - Japanese Americans In Jazz
November 18th - Women In Jazz
December 16th - Jazz at the Movies
Woodward Park Regional Library - 944 East Perrin Avenue - Fresno, CA
