Thursday, March 1st, 2012 at venues throughout the Tower District and Downtown Fresno

JazzHop JazzFresno is proud to announce JazzHop, a monthly series designed to promote local jazz (& assorted other styles) at various venues throughout the Tower District and downtown Fresno area, on the first Thursday of every month. Many venues will coincide and coordinate with the hugely successful ArtHop series that turns out hundreds of participants monthly.

Come out on Thursday, March 1st and support the local jazz scene!



 

JazzFresno Concert Series

harrisonbw225Since 2006, JazzFresno has presented over a dozen concerts featuring some of the top names in jazz. Hearing jazz performed live, whether in a concert hall, or a small jazz club, is a truly unique experience, and JazzFresno is working to provide additional opportunities to hear what has been called "America's Classical Music" locally, right here in the Central San Joaquin Valley. From Grammy award winners and international stars to established local legends and young up and comers, JazzFresno has been instrumental in enhancing opportunities to hear live jazz in the Fresno area.

Conversation With the Artist Series


persip225 JazzFresno's "Conversation With the Artist" series brings jazz listeners face to face with some of the most accomplished and talented musicians in jazz. These free events feature a moderated discussion with the artist, a question and answer period, and an intimate performance. Check back soon for more information about upcoming "Conversation With the Artist" events for 2011.

Artists In the Schools Program

Poncho Sanchez works with students at RSA Every year, JazzFresno brings accomplished jazz artists from across the globe, to our local schools for workshops and concerts. These unique opportunities can have life changing impacts in the lives of students, and provide the spark of inspiration that's sometimes necessary to keep young adults in school and off the streets.
