Since 2006, JazzFresno has presented over a dozen concerts featuring some of the top names in jazz. Hearing jazz performed live, whether in a concert hall, or a small jazz club, is a truly unique experience, and JazzFresno is working to provide additional opportunities to hear what has been called "America's Classical Music" locally, right here in the Central San Joaquin Valley. From Grammy award winners and international stars to established local legends and young up and comers, JazzFresno has been instrumental in enhancing opportunities to hear live jazz in the Fresno area.

JazzFresno believes in the power of music to change lives. With support from Focus Forward, and the Bonner Family Foundation JazzFresno has developed a program that brings jazz music to the young adults at the Fresno County Juvenile Justice campus. For seven weeks, two percussion instructors visit the students on a weekly basis, and instruct and introduce them to the various percussion instruments used in Latin Jazz. JazzFresno plans to expand this program and continue bringing music into the lives of disadvantaged and troubled youth.
