Jazz Composers OrchestraThe Jazz Composers Orchestra brings together many of Fresno's finest jazz musicians in an all star big band format. Now in its third year, the JCO features original music by band members, as well as new material from some of the top large ensemble jazz composers active today. The JCO explores new sounds and approaches to the big band idiom and showcases the best of what the Valley's jazz scene has to offer. This December 4th, the perform their annual concert at Roger Rocka's Dinner Theatre. The show starts at 7:30pm. Tickets are $12 general, $10 JazzFresno members and $7 for students. Armen Nalbandian premieres "Balance" - Nov 30

On November 30th, 2006, Armen Nalbandian will present a new ensemble named “Balance” at the Fresno Art Museum’s Rhythms of Art Concert Series. Nalbandian has written an entirely new book of music especially for this ensemble, which features the following:
