JazzFresno and the Fresno County Public Libraries host (free and open to the public) Jazz at the Library on Tuesday February 21st, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the Woodward Park Regional County Library located at 944 E. Perrin Ave. (Champlain & Perrin). Karen Marguth, nationally acclaimed jazz vocalist, will give a presentation titled “Eva Cassidy: Songbird.” Eva Cassidy possessed a rare musical gift, and had only just begun to share it with the world when cancer took her life. Still, the music she left behind is filled with inspiration and flashes of brilliance that lives on and now inspires some of today's greatest vocalists. Come and hear her story, her music, and interviews with her family and friends. |
